| For Tuesday, June 24, 2008: Have the syllabus and the parent/student contract signed. For Wednesday, June 25, 2008: Make sure you have all required supplies. For Thursday, June 26, 2008: Read for at least 25 minutes and be prepared to write or speak about how the text affected you emotionally. For Monday, June 30, 2008: Read pages 50-61 in the anthology and answer the questions on page 63 - including the writing prompt. ALSO, complete a Reader's Companion for the story. Feel free to also peruse yesterday's exam so that you may reinforce your understanding of the concepts and so that you may earn an even higher score on the next exam. For Wednesday, July 2, 2008: Study pages 1-60 of the grammar workbook and the last exam in preparation for today's 40-question cumulative exam. For Monday, July 7, 2008: Work in grammar books to page 90 (and not beyond). Also, work on essays. For Tuesday, July 8, 2008: Students in The Chocolate War novel group read through page 187. All students work on essays. For Wednesday, July 9, 2008: Review the Reader's Companion you filled out for the novel you read. You will take a comprehensive novel exam on Wednesday. Work on your vocabulary assignment and your essays. They are due Thursday at the beginning of class. For Thursday, July 10, 2008: Study the vocab, the grammar book and all previous exams for the final 80-question exam. At the beginning of class you will be asked to turn in the vocabulary assignment and all essays. You will attach your essays to this cover sheet. If you were absent on Wednesday, read this research paper and answer these questions and turn in your answers alongside your essays. |
