Grade 9 English
- Play "I Have Who Has" with the literary terms, paying special attention to the following 35 terms, which have been prioritized:

Cliche, antagonist, foil, onomatopoeia, situational irony, rising action, hyperbole, personification, symbolism, syntax, alliteration, paradox, metaphor, diction, simile, dramatic irony, tone, foreshadowing, oxymoron, denouement, verbal irony, theme, protagonist, ambiguity, inference, nemesis, point of view, bias, denotation, fact, connotation, climax, opinion, allusion, imagery.

HOMEWORK: Continue to study the aforementioned literary terms and write a dialogue between two characters named "Perspicacious" and "Apathetic" of no fewer than 10 lines each. Also, bring a book for SSR (Sustained Silent Reading).

HOMEWORK: Study the literary terms and further acquaint yourself with TECWIT and with these essay tips compiled/created after reading your last in-class, timed-write essay.

- Write in your private journal and/or read and afterward complete a "Read with a Purpose" ticket
- Share dialogue between "Perspicacious" and "Apathetic," and write a short dinner scene between "Magnanimous," "Malevolent," "Perspicacious" and "Apathetic."

HOMEWORK: Ponder the pros and cons of "young love'" and "love at first sight," perhaps while having dinner with perspicacious people.

Grade 12 AP English Lit and Comp
- With a partner, write a scene between at least two characters whose names are
literary terms. See a full description of the assignment here.

HOMEWORK: Study the
literary terms and further acquaint yourself with TECWIT (and all the aspects therein) and these essay tips written after reading your last timed-write essay. Also, complete your scripted (or partially improvised) scene in preparation for an in-class presentation.
