A.5 To what extent are leadership and staff involved in ongoing research or data-based correlated professional development that focuses on identified student needs?

RESOURCES
A.6 To what extent are the human, material, physical and financial resources sufficient and utilized effectively and appropriately in accordance with the legal intent of the program(s) to support students in accomplishing the academic standards and the expected school-wide learning results?

The "O" Team's Steps:

- Create
small groups of question-generators and answer- and evidence- gatherers

- Generate a list of questions that pertain to the four areas and ten central questions. Feel free to use the
BHS template to inspire, but not limit, this process. This should be a list of questions that will steer us toward the acquisition of the appropriate evidence. For example: "What is GHS's vision statement? How was it divined? How is it articulated to the students, staff and community? How does it guide instruction? How is it ultimately reflected in our data? What are ESLR's? Do we have some, and, if so, what are they?..."

- Assign to
members of the small groups answer- and evidence-gathering tasks

- Document and email the findings before
March 30, 3009, to  akittelson@gusd.net. If possible, please put the information in the same format as the sample document

- Come up with seven or so areas of needed growth/improvement per central question

- Type/print a
draft document (A. Kittelson)

- Review/revise the
draft document (all members)

- Polish the document (A. Kittelson) and submit it to Mike Bertram by the end of April, 2009

- Heed the notes from the state WASC czar and revise the document, working in conjunction with the drafters of the School Profile section

- Convene on
10/16/09 to complete a questionnaire. A. Kittelson will meet with Dr. Hon's group to better understand the School Profile section

- A. Kittelson distribute revised School Profile section so that we may incorporate its info into our section

- Revise more completely our section and turn it into Mr. Bertram twice - the final time
01/25/10

-
Reflect upon the WASC self-study process

- Receive WASC auditors
03/21 - 03/24, 2010

- Meet with WASC auditors 03/22/10 3:15 in B211

- Hear the auditors' report 03/24/10 3:20 in AUD.
